Participants will be able to explore how other approaches such as Narrative Therapy can enhance and embellish Ericksonian approaches.

Educational Objectives:

Discuss emotional situations children go through when they face serious family problems such as divorce and violence.
Demonstrate how Brief Therapy approaches can help during these crises and list at least four exercises that can be used during brief interventions.
Explain how Brief Ericksonian interventions can be used for alleviating painful emotions.
Demonstrate how the use of other approaches such as Narrative Therapy can enhance Ericksonian techniques.
